Address Validation Purpose

All entity requests with addresses that are not valid at the US Postal Service must be manually verified or declined by the AGIIS Help Desk. If you do research prior to submitting the request, you may find the problem is a simple formatting or spelling issue which is easily corrected.  This research on your part will reduce the request processing time and rejection rate as well as increase data integrity.

If you locate information on the internet during your research that shows the address that you provided is correct, you can include the web link in the comments section of the request to assist the AGIIS Help Desk in verifying the address.

Address Validation Tools & Tricks

Many address issues are found to be caused by inaccurate formatting, spelling or “fat fingering”.   Examples:

  1. Inaccurate formatting - 1234 HWY 5 should be 1234 KY HWY 5.
  2. Spelling - 2401 NW PLAT RD should be 2401 NW PLATTE RD.
  3. Fat Fingering – 88176 NW TURNER AVE should be 8176 NW TURNER AVE.
